Providing Compassionate Guidance

Building relationships and raising families can be both fulfilling and challenging. At Nurture Family Counseling we provide compassionate guidance when you need it most. We specialize in working with couples, adolescents and children as young as three.

We help those who are experiencing relational conflict, divorce, depression, anxiety, grief, blending of families, self doubt and more. Our goal is to empower individuals and families to realize their full potential. We have partner and associate therapists and offer flexible scheduling and sliding scale payment options to meet the needs of our clients.

We understand that life can be challenging, and we are passionate about supporting our clients in realizing their full potential for love, growth and peaceful relationships.

We take a multi-faceted approach to our work with adolescents, considering your teen’s development, neurobiology, social support system, and unique personality and experiences.

Younger children may experience grief and loss, divorce of their parents, and other unexpected changes, and they don’t simply forget, not understand, or bounce back.

How Therapy Works

Therapy is a collaboration between you and the therapist. During weekly sessions we will explore your hopes for the counseling process, identify areas you would like to change and build the tools needed to facilitate that change. We work to make sense of your experience and set attainable goals for a more satisfying and fulfilling future.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our practice.

Tips for Talking to Your Teen about Therapy

April 17, 2017
Even for adults the idea of going to therapy can be a tough pill to swallow, no pun intended. Now imagine being a teenager, whose body is changing, peer pressure is a very real and often times vicious addition to everyday challenges, and self-consciousness is at an all-time high.
